Solo

In HALL’s own solo games, your scores count on HALL’s boards when you’re signed in. Hold the top score when a game reaches 1,000 players and you get 10 karma, and again at 10,000, 100,000 and on up.

Record holders

HALL’s own games, including its Solo games (Tanks and Drill Down among them), are written by HALL. Chess rules come from chess.js (BSD-2-Clause, Jeff Hlywa), and the Genius chess computer is Stockfish (GPL-3.0, the Stockfish developers, brought to the browser by Nathan Rugg’s stockfish.js), which HALL hosts unchanged and runs on your own device; the word games use the public-domain ENABLE word list, and Five Letters’ answers are common words picked with the help of Kevin Atkinson’s English Speller Database (SCOWL, MIT-like licence). The other Solo games are open source and hosted by HALL under their own licences, with credit to their makers — tap a game’s name inside the player to see who made it.
